From day to night ft. Naturalizer

naturalizer-day-to-night

I'm wearing: Naturalizer Abylin  | Naturalizer August  ( a few colors are on sale for under $50!!) |  Levis mile high supper skinny jeans . They come in black too  | Sophie rue cami from stitfix (get a $25 credit with this link

Last week, I wore these two outfits on the same day, and I thought it will be fun to recreate them for the blog and show you how easy is to transform your outfit from day to night, by simply switching up the shoes .... ok, and a few accesories!

On both outfits I'm wearing my Levi's mile high supper skinny ankle jeans (that's a mouthfull!) . If you're petite and looking for a super high waisted skinny jeans, you just hit the jackpot! I'm hoping they add more washes for this style because they're perfect! . The top is from Sophie Rue, I got it from Stitfix (If you want to try the service use this link and get a $25 credit)

The shoes are from Naturalizer, you've probably have read this name on a few of my previous posts ( HERE I'm wearing my favorite flats or HERE wearing my beloved platform loafers). I've discovered the brand a few years ago and they immediatly became my go-to for flats & sneakers, they are THE comfiest!!  It wasn't until a few weeks ago, when I attended an event to celebrate their new store opening in Chicago that I found out they also have tons of cute heels and wedges that are just as comfy. I feel I've been missing out all this time!

Let's move on to the outfits!

"Day outfit"
August platform loafers + long cardi.

I wore this outfit to go to work in the morning . It was "casual" friday so we get to wear jeans! My office is always kind of cold so I like to wear long sleeves, sweaters or a cozy cardi. I got the cardigan on my latest stitfix and It quickly became part of my office uniform. Another thing that is part of my office attire are my Naturalizer August Loafers, I own them in two colors and I think  they look super cute with jeans and dress pants too. They're the perfect shoe to be comfy yet look dressy.

 "Night outfit"
Abylin pointed toe heel + faux leather jacket

After a long day at the office I went home, swtiched up my cardi for a trendy leather jacket and my loafers for these pointed toe heels and I was ready to hit the town. Naturalizer gifted me these shoes at their last event and I absolutely love them. I've wear them for every girls night out ever since. Last time I wore them I probably danced for about 6 to 8 hours straight and totally forgot I was wearing heels!! If I had to chose only one pair of heels to keep for the rest of my life, I'd keep my abylin heels for sure!

Let's keep talking about spring ... and shoes!

wedge-clogs-outfit

Last month we had a few days that were warm enough to leave the coat at home. Winter is almost over you guys!  I couldn't be happier because I got to wear my new sandals. I've never been a fan of wedges or espadrilles but I wanted to get a sandal that mimic the look without being too bulky or heavy. I ordered these Wedges from Clarks after reading tons of reviews complimenting how lightweight they are. They're super comfy! This time I paired them with a chunky sweater because it's still chilly outside but I can definitely see myself wearing them with shorts during the summer!

A few weeks ago I had the chance to attend the grand opening of the new Naturalizer Store in Chicago. Naturalizer's flats & sneakers have been part of my wardrobe for a few years now but it wasn't until this event when I tried on my very first pair of heels from the store that I feel in love with the brand even more!

Naturally, I had to go back to explore the store and take home a couple new pairs of shoes to update my Spring shoe collection. Here are my faves:

This is the perfect "everyday but dressy" sandal. It's 2 inches heel makes these shoes a comfy option for every occasion. You can wear it with flowy dresses for a night out , or take them to the office paired with some dress pants . The website shows them color coordinated with a satin cami & culottes and I'm digging that outfit. I'm also surprised how good they looked with my ripped jeans. Currently this sandal comes in 4 colors and I LOVE them in Pewter. It goes well with everything!

27 edit Alana:
Pointed toe pumps are a must have, they look super sexy and they look good with pretty much everything. Downside about them is that they're usually painful after a short time wearing them. Well, that's not the case with these shoes. They're the most comfortable pumps I've EVER tried on (besides maybe this other pair). The ones I'm wearing are in the color poppy suede and I think they're a great option top add a pop of color on your outfits. I'm planning to get them in black an marble too to replace the ones I already have (and I rarely wear for the reason mentioned above).

Joy:
If you're looking for a pair of heels that you can't wear every weekend to dance the night away, THIS IS IT! The thick block heel, platform and cushion foot bed make this shoe extremely confortable & easy to walk (and twirl) in.  It's available in 7 colors and 4 of those are different nudes/neutrals.  Here I'm wearing them in Light Bronze leather and I think it's a pretty color that will blend in with pretty much anything. I'm hoping they make these in different shades of "nude" like their Kelsey Sandal.

Espadrilles made a huge come back since last year and they're still going strong for this season. I'm not a big fan of them but these sandals caught my eye as soon as I walked into the store.  Here I'm wearing them in Light bronze but they also have them in black, brown and red!

Tell me in a comment, what is your must-have shoe for spring/summer?

Two wears to wear a plaid coat

I'm wearing: Forever 21 plaid coat (sold out) but I love this one and this one's color combo. HERE is a shorter version | REDONE jeans | Fila Ray sneakers | Banana republic graphic tee (sold out) - THIS ONE is pretty much the same - another one in black - love this one| Levi's mile high ankle skinny jeans (perfect lenght for petites)  | UNIQLO heattech fleece turtleneck top | Gucci belt | Shoeddazle boots

I feel like I always say this but ... I've been looking for a red plaid coat for the longest time (more than a few years!) Last friendsgiving my friend Desi (who also has a pretty cool blog) showed up with this amazing coat and I knew right away I had to have it.  It is such an statement piece and the longer silhouette makes me look super tall. I'm only 5'2!!

I've worn this coat a few times already, every time I've thrown it over simple outfits : Jeans + black or white t-shirt . These two outfits pretty much sums it all up.

 Outfit #1
Black turteneck + over the knee boots

I pretty much live  on these heattech turtlenecks from UNIQLO during winter. They keep me warm and I feel they look super stylish tucked into high waisted jeans and paired with high heels. The jeans are Levi's mile high ankle skinny jeans. If you're petite you'll LOVE these they have the perfect lenght!.  The over the knee boots I'm wearing are from Shoedazzle, my favorite place to find the perfect heels & boots. I'm in love with their spring shoe collection and I can't wait until winter is over to get a few pairs of pretty sandals from their website!

Outfit #2
graphic t-shirt + chunky sneakers

On a regular day I don't wear 5in heels, so if we ever bump to each other on the streets chances are I'm going to be wearing something more similar to this outfit. You can never go wrong with a basic white shirt and high waisted jeans. To make this outfit more casual and perfect for running errands , comfy shoes are a must. Lately I'm obsessed with chunky or platform sneakers. The ones I'm wearing are the FILA Ray and I have them in white too.

4 ways to wear black leather leggings

I'm wearing : Forever 21 Leather leggings | Nike Tanjun sneakers | Forever 21 sweater dress | Belt bag - similar - similar - | Rebecca minkoff hudson moto crossbody | OTK boots - similar - similar | Teddy coat - similar - similar

I wasn't lying when I said I'm obsessed with these (faux) leather leggings. It's so easy to style them up or down! Lately my favorite way to wear them is with long sweaters / sweatshirts and sneakers. But I think they also look really good with a tunic and over the knee boots for a dressier look, like I styled them on this post.
