Florida Lookbook ft Andre Assous

If you follow me on instagram you probably already know that I recently escaped away from the cold and spent a weekend in Florida.

The original plan was to go on a road trip from Chicago to somewhere closer (think about Ohio or maybe Detroit at most). But a week before our "departure date" I received a package from Andre Assous with the most perfect and comfy espadrilles. If you're on the market for some new shoes for summer I definitely recommend you to check their website. These wedges are my favorite!

No way I was going to leave my new babies sitting in my closet until summer, so that same night I looked for (cheap) flights to some place warmer, and that's how I ended up in Orlando.

My new espadrilles and a pair of sneakers were the only shoes I packed for this trip. So I put togheter this "lookbook" of my outfits to show you how versatile this shoes are and also to give you some ideas on how to wear them.

Day 1

Wearing: Andre Assous Carmela Sandals (c/o) | Forever 21 High waisted jeans (these are my favorite pair and only $12) | Tobi Crop top (form poshmark) : similar - similar - similar | Discovery Jean Jacket (old): similar - similar | Forever 21 earrings

We landed in Orlando around 10 pm, and by the time we got to the hotel it was almost midnight and we were starving! I quickly changed into a croc top and these black  wedges Then went to have dinner by "The Orlando Eye" . After dinner we went dancing and also spent some time walking around the area. I swear I didn't even feel I was wearing heels. These sandals are super comfy!

ps. I recreated the oufit the next morning. I'm pretty sure that night I look more like a mess after 8 hrs at my job followed by a 3 hr plane ride.

Day 2

Wearing: Andre Assous Cameron Suede Sandals (c/o) They run a little bit thight, size up! | Shein bow swimsuit (only $12) , Runs small | Foster Grant sunglasses

The next morning we headed out to Cocoa Beach. I wore the cutest one piece swimsuit paired with high waisted shorts and these camel espadrilles . I love wearing one piece swimsuits to the beach because you can easily transition them from the beach to the restaurant by simply throwing some shorts or a kimono on top.

Wearing: Andre Assous Carmela Sandals (c/o) | Forever 21 earrings | dress:  similar - similar

That same night after we came back from Cocoa Beach, we went to "The City Walk" . I knew there was going to be a lot of walking involved so I wanted to wear something comfy but still look put together. I wore this Little off-shoulder Black dress paired with the black wedges & red earrings to add a pop of color.

 Day 3

Wearing: Andre Assous Cameron Suede Sandals (c/o) They run a little bit thight, size up! | Always on Vacay Swimsuit, runs TTS (ONLY $10) | Foster Grant sunglasses

Our last day, we decided to stay at the hotel to Chill at the pool. I wore another one piece swimsuit with shorts and the camel espadrilles. Did you notice is the same combo than in day two? It always works!

Lately I"m very into one piece swimsuits, specially if they have some sort of graphic or quote printed. These is currently on sale for $10.

Stripes & Leopard

I'm wearing : Jeans : Forever 21 | Jacket : Forever 21 - similar | Scarf : Shop craker barrel - similar - similar | bag: Guess - similar | Boots : AMI Clubwear - similar - similar

I wasn't sure if I was going to share this pictures in a blog post. Mainly because this is one of those outfits that when looks way different than when you planned it in your head. Has it ever happened to you? I'm love the way this scarf looks combined with the green jacket and boots, but I'm not sure about the striped shirt. I'll probably try this again with a different top. What do you think?

Skin Care FAV: Clarins Hydra Essentiel Collection

This post is brought to you in Collaboration with Clarins

My mom was always big on skin care, and she would always tell me about the importance of using the best products for your skin. I remember I'd spend countless hours admiring her skin care collection and going with her to the Clarins counter to stock up on her favorite products. Nedless to say I grew up to be a huge Skin Care enthusiastic loyal to Clarins , just like her!

I love many Clarins products, from their makeup to their suncreen lotions, but Clarins Hydra - Essentiel is my current favorite collection. It was specially created to protect and quench skin, t he main ingredient in all the products is leaf of life extract , a plant that enhances the skin ability to retain moisture.

I'm pretty sure you already have read a lot about the Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream, in fact I talked about it on instagram not so long ago ... To summarize it , this cream moisturizes & shields skin from the dehydrating effects of daily thermic shocks that can leave it looking. It's definitely a must try!

Now let's talk about some exciting news!! TWO more products are joining the Hydra Essentiel Family Hydra-Essentiel Moisturizing Reviving Eye Mask and Replenishing Lip Balm.

The Eye Mask visibly minimizes signs of fatigues, dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines caused by dehydration. Since the winter started the skin around my eyes got really dry to the point my lids were peeling off. This eye mask was a life saver , not only I don't have those dry patches anymore, my undereye area is the brightest it has been. The product feels like a gel and has a cooling efect, it's very light and it absorbs quickly. That's something super important for me because I usually get ready in a hurry and I like to be able to do my makeup right after I finish my skin care routine without having to wait until the products "dry".

The Lip balm Nourishes, moisturizes, and protects lips. I apply it every morning and night as part of my regular skin care routine. Since I started using it my lips feel smoother and softer. I also like to keep it in my purse for a quick touch up over my lipstick , I feel it make my lips look plumper.

What do you think about these new products? I'm definitely loving the new Eye Mask!

Rose Gold Steps

I'm wearing: Jeans : Forever 21 | Ruffle top : Forever 21| Bag: Rebecca Minkoffsimilar - similar | Shoes - Naturalizer "August"

Metallic shoes were a big trend since the beggining of 2017 and it looks like they're not going anywhere yet. I've seen a lot brands coming out this spring with of rose gold and platinum silver shoes and I think that's great for all uf us that wanted to try the trend but weren't quite ready to rock bright gold shoes yet. I saw this Rose Gold Oxford from Naturalizer's new spring collection and it was love at first sight. They may be a subtle option but that doesn't make these shoes less of an statement. They  immediatly change the look of a casual outfit and if you usually wear neutrals they will be a fun pop of color on your closet.

If you really want to get a lot of wear out of your metallic shoes I recomment you going for a pair of oxfords or sneakers , not only because they will be easier to incorporate in a casual outfit but also because if the shoe is comfy, you'll be more likely to reach out for them in a daily basis. My Oxfords are one of the most comfortable shoes I own. I'm planing a trip to Nashville for my birthday and these definitely are coming with me!
