If you have been reading me for a while you may alredy know how much I love basic and versatile pieces. On my last post I was talking about my two favorite basics, so today  It felt appropiate to talk about another must have of mine: The stripes shirt. This one is a great alternative to the classic striped tee, just a little bit dressier. It is another one of those pieces that will effortlessy take you from the office to a casual date, since it can be easily dressed down paired with shorts or boyfriend jeans for a chic casual look. Are you a striped shirt lover? I am!

A mi me encantan!

Nothing but basics

Trends come and go, but basic pieces like a white t-shirt or our beloved jeans are here to stay. Basics are not only extremelly  versatile, in most cases they are affordable as well, making them a great choice for those who like to dress on a budget.  The perfect example of this is my outfit which is a combo of basic pieces, and the total prize for everything (besides the bag) was less than $30. My white t-shirt is from h&m and I usually get them in bulk when they have their 2x$10 promo. My jeans were thrifted and probably no more than $2, the bandana was only $1 and last but not least my mules were less than $15 from AMIclubwear. Find HERE my complete list of places where you can shop in a budget.

Comfy as Stylish: The Gaucho Pants

Sometimes it feels like 24 hr in a day are not enough to do everything you would like. I don't know about you , but I spend most of the day runing from one place to another trying to get done as many things as I can. Reason why for me it's super important (and I've said this a million times) to have versatile pieces that can take you from the office to a get together with friends without stepping into your house to change, because most of the time happy hours end at 6 and there is no time to lose!
A good pair of gaucho pants are my favorite "transition" piece, you can pair them with your favorite basics and some heels for a dressy look, and them simply switch into sneakers and maybe finish the look with a jacket to completely change the vibe of the outfit and be ready for anything the night has ahead.

Blush pink everything

Fashion blogger rule #261: "If you find a wall with same colors as the outfit you're wearing, you MUST stop to take pictures there ... not really, but I spoted this abandoned Bodyshop? on my way to the furniture store and I had to convince Eric to double back to shoot this outfit, because finding a wall in Chicago that matches your clothes doesn't happen every day, and what are the odds to find it in the exact same shade of blush pink that the romper you're wearing? Anyway, even since THIS POST and all your positive feed back I've been trying to wear this color more often. It is one of the few colors I feel confortable wearing, and it's an added bonus the fact that is on trend this season. This lace romperthe slip dress from my previous post are some of the latest additions to my closet. Eric also got me another dress and a lace duster (that you'll see soon) in the same shade for my birthday. I guess he likes it too!

This place is right at a very busy main street and next to another bodyshop and a parking lot. We usually get really nervous when taking pictures around people that stare at us as if we are major weirdos, but we managed to get through that and get this done pretty quick. Have you been in a situation like that before? If you have any tips to shoot in crowded places, I would like to get some advice!
